The Future 未来 by Yao Peck Lu

Yao Lu is back with a new poetry style

I like it very much

I hope that you will like it.

The Future

Where is a river

For the white sturgeons to swim freely?

where is a forest

Flashing the beautiful shadow of the elk?

where is the sky

Echoing the happy song of migratory birds?

Their skeletons will be put into museums.

In 2022 AD,

We chew artificial meat,

Camping under the starry sky,

drinking low-sugar beer together,

Talking about the future of mankind.

Technology changes rapidly,

We have gone too far…

The double-edged sword is flanked by good and evil.

The boundary between reality and virtual is no longer clear,

happened, about to happen

true and absurd,

It’s all about simulating life.

A higher civilization, we call it God.

Are we just a string of codes that God typed?

Consciousness is permanently stored in the cloud,

No one in the new world will lose a loved one.
